Have been to the Bendigo Sign recently? If you haven’t seen it yet, we’ve got something a little different down there for you to play. 🧩   For a limited time, there’s giant Dragons and Ladders in the centre of Bendigo. This is our twist on the classic game snakes and ladders, being a city of dragons, we thought it was only fitting to change it up 🐉   This activity is completely free and adds an extra adventure to your Bendigo trip. If it’s your first time ever playing Dragons and Ladders (or snakes & ladders), roll a dice and move up that many spaces, if you land on a ladder, climb the ladder up to the adjacent tile, but if it’s a dragon, you’ll need to slide down to the tile it takes you to. First player to reach the final tile in the centre, wins. The game instructions are there for when you arrive and need a refresher, there’s also a QR code to scan for your dice to play the game.   This will only be in Bendigo until July 19, so be sure to come check it out before it’s too late! To find out what other fun and free activities are in the Bendigo Region, click the Play Bendigo Region link in our bio. #visitmelbourne #thingstodo #weekendtrip #victoria #freeactivities

Need to escape the city and enjoy a serene weekend away? This is what a weekend away in @exploreheathcote looks like...   Ease into the relaxed countryside with delicious breakfast and morning coffee in town at @fodderheathcote   A morning adventure to the Pink Cliffs Geological Reserve, wandering among surreal blush‑coloured rock formations.   With the autumn leaves out, the Valley of Liquid Ambers is a must visit, where golden and crimson leaves line the paths in autumn 🍂   Take a short drive through the bush filled backroads outside of town and make your way to @silverspoonestate for lunch. A sustainable wine cellar with an incredible seasonal menu to select from   Stop in to @shirazrepublic for a cellar door stop, sampling a bold Heathcote Shiraz and other amazing wines. Home to @cornellabrewery you get to sample some of the regions best local crafts in the one spot   Heathcote isn’t just about wine, there’s also incredible gin distilleries, a favourite to visit is @envy_distilling be sure to grab a tasting of their gins, and while here feed their resident llamas 🦙   Golden hour backroads driving to town as the light softens over rolling hills and vineyards   Dinner at @pizzeria.montana followed by a quiet evening under impossibly clear country skies   Make yourself at home at Cambria a gorgeous renovated space next to @heathcotewinehub a warm and cosy venue in a renovated 1850s timber church.   Wake slow on Sunday, grab another coffee, browse local stores or galleries, then take the long way home, because Heathcote is best enjoyed unrushed.   Save this for your next weekend escape in Victoria, just 1hr 30min away from Melbourne. #victoria #travel #visitmelbourne #thingstodo #autumngetaway
