Chiesa di Sant’Antonio Taumaturgo con il mare praticamente davanti alla porta. 🌊⛪
All’epoca Trieste era diversa: il Canale Grande aperto direttamente sul mare, le barche quasi sotto la chiesa e una città che viveva molto più legata all’acqua di oggi.
“Sant’Antonio col mar in cesa”… quasi una battuta triestina, ma anche una fotografia perfetta della vecchia Trieste austro-ungarica.
Una città costruita tra fede, porto e mare.

La Diga Vecchia è uno dei simboli più veri di Trieste.
Per anni è stata il posto delle passeggiate sul mare, del vento in faccia, dei tramonti e del silenzio lontano dalla città. Oggi però, tra chiusure, lavori e discussioni infinite, è diventata quasi “maledetta” come il tram di Opicina.
A Trieste certe cose non sono semplici infrastrutture.
Diventano parte della vita quotidiana, dei ricordi e dell’identità della città.
E forse è proprio per questo che la gente continua a parlarne con affetto, rabbia e nostalgia allo stesso tempo.

La Galleria Naturale non è solo una galleria… è uno dei punti panoramici più iconici di Trieste. 🌊
Scavata direttamente nella roccia del Carso e inaugurata nel 1928 insieme alla Strada Costiera, collega mare, ingegneria e paesaggio in un modo unico.
Da qui il Golfo di Trieste si apre completamente: mare, tramonti e Bora diventano parte della strada stessa. E per anni, chi attraversava la galleria suonava il clacson per segnalare il proprio passaggio.
Non è solo un punto di sosta.
È uno di quei luoghi che spiegano perfettamente perché la Costiera di Trieste sia così speciale.
