Peridot being the birthstone of August, I thought it was an appropriate stone to choose, as well as what was calling to me to create for her.

learning how to do some metal smithing .. I made this brass on sterling silver ring for myself.
The pyramid with two circles at the bottom is the pedigree symbol for identical twins. This is used as a genetic representation while diagraming a family tree.
Being an identical twin, this design made sense to me.
I call it my power ring as it is thick, heavy and I imagine it would be something Wonder Woman or one of her Amazonian people would wear.

Old stock Chrysoprase, wrapped in 14k gold- filled wire. Stone is cut by @k.allen_lapidary from rough I acquired when the Mt Hood Rock club was helping sort and sell a rock and mineral collection from the 70’s for the owner.
When you get a chance , get involved in your local community and rock clubs and I guarantee you will learn so much from everyone there.

My jewelry is all about curation of the stones I acquire, their stories, and showing off the beauty of the stones. Hence all of my minimalist work.
Each stone is unique, one of a kind, and not heat treated to bring out any color . Most stones I use are artisan cut, supporting other artists.
I love working with people to intentional make special pieces for that person or someone special to them as well.

Today I am going to buy my first ad from Instagram in order to try and increase my followers. In all transparency , this is not something I believe in, as I think FaceBook and Instagram have more than enough money without being capitalist , greedy vampires, living off of artists trying to just scape by, but I would like more people to be able to appreciate my artistry and buy a piece if they are able to.
PS Instagram is forcing me to create a Facebook account ( which I quit years ago ) in order to do a “ promotion “ of this post , so let’s see if I can figure this out without gagging up my breakfast. Trying trying to be negative , these are just my beliefs and who I am.

Argentium silver wire wrapped “ Campo Del Cielo “ aka “ Field of Heaven “ meteorite.
This meteorite landed in Argentina approximately 4,000-6,000 years ago, was discovered by the Spanish in 1576, and likely was discovered even before that by the indigenous people of the area . It is made primarily of iron.
I purchased this meteorite while accompanied and guided by Richard Pugh, and old family friend, as well as one of the foremost teachers and researchers in the USA specializing in Field Meteoritical research.
I purchased and wire wrapped the meteorite as a Winter Solstice gift for my twin sister.

Going to be working on finishing these amethyst, chrysoprase, and rose quartz earrings this weekend. Earrings are always make me a bit nervous , especially the small stones ones. Trying to make them even close to “ identical twins “ can be challenging. However , precision work when done well, is always such a reward for me.
