It's taken a number of weeks to emotionally and logistically process the transition into fall 2025-- including a middle-aged birthday and intensely existential-feeling local election. But a huge highlight earlier in October was the 'Resilience' Community photo show that 🖤
@ebruyildiz and 🖤
@mitchellnking invited me to organize for the music photographers in the Brooklyn community. We showed work from over 50 working artists-- some established, some on the rise, some very fresh.
Our show was among 4 incredible photo exhibits presentedby
@whatremainsbooks collectively as 'Resonance Moon' to celebrate and punctuate the close of the Greenpoint
@brooklyngrain space and opening of Bushwick location with good memories surrounded by incredible artists and friends.
Apart from the pride of producing such an event, it has been especially fulfilling, finding ways that all my responsibilities, relationships and interests can begin to come together In a way that makes sense in my life-- to get up in the morning and work on a project, however under resourced, and finding out you have the support of 50-60 artists you like and admire, to pull over-ambitious projects out of your ass, in a time when nothing seems to make sense.
Thanks to all the contributing artists,
@wondervillenyc
for coming through in a real community-first way, and in particular to
@davidandrako for additional installation help! And huge thanks to
@keith_marlowe and.
@boroughphoto for the excellent printing job!
I hope Wyatt understands why these events are special, and why I always want the future to be connected to the past.
