On october the 2nd Annex presents a lineup of artists who push the boundaries of rhythm, voice, and texture within the club context. Over the course of the night, the sound moves across a wide range of tempos and styles. The music pulses between tension and release, clarity and distortion. The nights acts move fluidly between genres, creating an environment of constant flux—a space that resists easy categorization, offering a deep, immersive experience where sound is always evolving.

„Was baust Du? Ich will einen Schacht graben. Es muß ein Fortschritt geschehen. Zu hoch oben ist mein Standort. Wir graben den Schacht von Babel.“
In ihrem Essay „the (w)hole of babel“ nutzt Hito Steyerl dieses Zitat Franz Kafkas für eine Analyse von Vogel- und Bodenperspektive, von antisemitischen Ideologien und postmodernen Entsagungen. Der Text wurde kurz vor dem 11. September 2001 veröffentlicht, also kurz vor einem Angriff auf einen Gebäudekomplex, der nicht nur optisch an das Babel-Projekt erinnert. Auch symbolisch verkörperte das World Trade Center eine Vision des Universalismus, der Welt-Vereinigung – wenn auch diese Vision kapitalistisch gedacht war.
timeMap(babel) folgt dem Ruf Kafkas: Ein Abstieg ins unterirdische Babel durch Kunst, Philosophie und elektronische Musik.
