🏆 Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament 2026 ❤️⚽
A huge thank you to our event sponsors, Hunters Estate Agents, for supporting this year’s Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament held yesterday at St James Park — home of Exeter City F.C..
The annual tournament continues to celebrate Catherine’s legacy by creating opportunities for young girls across Devon to enjoy football, build confidence and compete in a positive environment.
This year’s event brought together around 100 young players from across Devon, with 15 six-a-side teams representing 8 different schools in a fantastic day of football, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Schools involved included:
🔴 St Lukes x2
🔴 Queen Elizabeth School x3
🔴 Exmouth x2
🔴 The Maynard School x1
🔴 Teignmouth x2
🔴 Isca x2
🔴 Newton Abbot x2
🔴 St James x1
We were also honoured to welcome Catherine’s mother, Glenda Riley, and daughter, Dulcie Fraser, who presented the medals and trophies at the end of the tournament. ❤️
A huge thank you to all players, teachers, staff, volunteers and supporters who helped make the day such a success and continue Catherine’s legacy through girls’ football.

⚽❤️ A day to remember at St James Park.
This year’s Premier League Kicks celebration event gave young people from across our free Kicks sessions the incredible opportunity to play, learn and make memories on the pitch at the home of Exeter City Football Club.
From warm-ups on the turf, to handshakes showing fantastic sportsmanship, to teammates supporting one another with arms around shoulders — the day perfectly reflected what Premier League Kicks is all about: football, friendship, confidence and community.
A special highlight for many of the girls was the chance to meet and play alongside Exeter City Women striker Sophie Gillies. Having role models like Sophie attend these sessions is hugely important, helping inspire the next generation and showing young people that there is a pathway for them in the game.
Premier League Kicks continues to provide safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces where young people can build confidence, stay active, make friends and develop life skills both on and off the pitch.
One participant, Alice, first attended one of our girls-only Kicks sessions after struggling to feel comfortable in mixed football environments. Since then, she has grown into a confident young leader, now volunteering at sessions, supporting younger participants and representing Devon football.
We are incredibly proud of every young person who took part and grateful to our amazing Exeter City Community Trust coaches, who continue to be outstanding role models for our participants every week.
A huge thank you to Premier League Kicks for making opportunities like this possible, and to Exeter City Football Club for opening up St James Park for such a special day.
If you think your child would enjoy taking part, please visit our webpage and register to attend for free: /plkicks/

Congratulations to Abbi Bond, who has been named our @the_pfa Community Champion for the 2025/26 season! 👏
Abbi’s dedication to developing young female goalkeepers has seen her support grassroots clubs throughout Devon, offering encouragement, visibility and help with training methods. Volunteering her time to ensure aspiring goalkeepers have opportunity and confidence to improve, Abbi’s presence in engaging with young players and supporters is evident both on matchdays here at City, and in the time she spends assisting grassroots clubs.
At a club that puts the community at the heart of all that it does, Abbi has represented herself and the club superbly throughout her time at Exeter City and is hugely deserving of this year's award 🏆
👀 A full list of our 2025/26 award winners will be published tomorrow!
