It's official, I’m now a certified professional counsellor.
What started as a quiet, God-directed journey has become one of the most defining seasons of my life. The conviction was strong from the very beginning. I finished NYSC and barely a month later, I was back in school. No long breaks, no second-guessing, just obedience and faith which came with a lot of gbas gbos 😂
Choosing this path was not the most conventional decision. While many expected a master’s degree route, I chose this program instead, and it came with a lot of questions. At different points, it felt like I was sitting in the hot seat, constantly having to explain my choice. But deep down, I knew the direction God was leading me, and I stayed with that conviction.
And God showed up in ways I’m still trying to process.
I graduated as the Second Best Graduating Student of my set 🥹 and honestly, that still feels unreal. This journey stretched me in every way possible. Imagine classes running from 9am to 4pm on weekends. It isn’t your regular program honestly.
A big thank you to the very important people in my life. My parents, my siblings, my pastors, my friends, and everyone who cared about me, checked in on me and followed me through this entire process. I’m deeply grateful 🤍

I have walked through the four walls of the university studying counselling, but my experience at ADI College of Counselling and Psychotherapy is one I simply cannot compare. After 6 years in the university system, these past few months have given me something deeper than just knowledge but a level of competence I had never felt before.
From a well-structured curriculum that blended theory with hands-on practicals, to lecturers who didn’t just teach but embodied the work. Anyone could tell they were practising counsellors who truly knew their onions. Then there was group therapy. A space that became more than a class, it was a healing room for us as students. A place where we could be vulnerable, empathise with one another, and offer comfort.
The role plays revealed our lapses, the practicums exposed our gaps, our blind spots, and our mistakes, yet gave us room to relearn, to grow, and to become more intentional both consciously and unconsciously.
This journey has truly been one to give, and ADI @adi_counselling deserves every bit of recognition. From the Provost @timioyebode to the Registrar @ireneespage to the Director of Studies @perceptionmodifier , the Director of Admin @tayo_owosina , and every hand that shaped this experience, thank you.
To our class coordinators, Counselor David and Counsellor Grace, thank you for holding us through every phase of this journey. And to my classmates, this is a memory that will stay with us for a lifetime.

Here is the balance: Does God care about our joy? YES, but not worldly happiness rooted in sin.

The True Litmus Test for Love
An automatic response people give when asked, “Do you love God?” is usually “Yes.”
But listen to this: God looks beyond our words and religious activities to see whether our conduct aligns with what we say. He weighs our words against the actions that follow them.
The true litmus test of your love for God is proven in your actions, not just in the words that come out of your mouth.
If you truly love God, then prove your love through obedience to His Word by fleeing from ALL forms of sexual immorality.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” 1 John 3:18

Yesterday was World Sexual Purity Day, and it made me reflect deeply on the number of secondary school students we have interacted with, the conversations we have held, and the questions we have had to answer. I can confidently say that there is still a great deal of work to be done 💯
Many people, especially our young ones, have been sold a false kind of knowledge, a deception of the devil disguised as truth. The goal is not merely to avoid pregnancy but to stay completely away from every form of sexual immorality.
God’s stand on sexual immorality is not a suggestion but a COMMANDMENT. Honour God with your body, your thoughts, and your desires. Stay pure and stay blessed.
