Sourced from the renowned highlands of Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, this Grade 1 washed lot is cultivated at elevations between 1,850 and 1,880 meters above sea level by approximately 1,200 smallholder producers who deliver their cherries to the Idido Washing Station. Operating under the Malebo Project by Ardent Coffee Exporter, these native heirloom seeds were carefully selected for this exclusive washed offering. The coffee in this lush, tropical region is typically shade-grown using organic practices. After being picked ripe and depulped the same day, the coffee undergoes an 8 to 12-hour fermentation in open-air tanks before being fully washed in water channels. The beans are meticulously hand-sorted throughout an 18-day drying process on raised beds, then rested for four weeks prior to milling to ensure a consistent moisture content. This extraordinary dedication yields a beautifully sweet and sparkling cup with distinct flavor notes of plum, panela, and rich brown sugar. Order online now!

Sourced from approximately 850 dedicated smallholder producers in the high-elevation region of West Arsi, Ethiopia, this Grade 1 washed lot is expertly processed at the Testi West Arsi Washing Station. The coffee is cultivated in a unique subtropical climate with a mixture of dark and red soils at impressive elevations of 1,900 to 2,050 meters above sea level. Comprised of native Ethiopian heirloom varieties, this coffee is grown on traditional small plots often described as “coffee gardens”. During the harvest, cherries are delivered to the Refisa washing station where they are depulped, fermented for 24 to 48 hours, and fully washed. The beans are then carefully dried on raised beds for 12 to 15 days. This meticulous preparation yields a clean, elegant cup featuring a candy-like sweetness, vibrant lime, and strong, perfumey jasmine notes, finished with a bright, winey acidity. Order it online now!

POV: you just found out your fave café pastries come from a hidden warehouse in Burnaby 👀 @exanimocoffee I’m not kidding… some of the BEST pastries + espresso I’ve had are from Ex-Animo — and they supply so many spots across Metro Vancouver. So chances are… you’ve already tried them without even knowing 🤯 This is a petition to have them open up a storefront.. 👀 #vancityeats #yvrfood #burnabybc #coffeelover

This or that ☕✨ → Finca El Espejo: single farm, single producer, 80hr fermentation, sangria-soaked sip. → Las Perlitas: a love letter to Huila’s smallholder farmers — fruit-forward, winey, dangerously drinkable. Two very different stories. Same obsession with the cup. Comment 🍓 for Espejo or 🍑 for Perlitas.
