Unice Leim is a queer, trans, and non-binary writer from Frankfurt, Germany, who moved to Tkaranto for their MFA Creative Writing at the University of Guelph. In their writing, Unice explores identity, family, and current social issues through a queer lens. Unice’ adapted play based on the Arthur Conan Doyle short story “Sherlock Holmes: A Scandal in Bohemia” premiered with the Chaincourt Theatre Company in July 2024, and three of Unice's short fiction pieces have been published in the Goethe Literary Magazine.

Allegra Kaplan is a queer writer of Brazilian-Jewish and Ukrainian descent. Her poems have appeared in Grain, Room, yolk, Beaver Magazine, LBRNTH, Ahoy Literary, The Fieldstone Review, and elsewhere. She recently completed her MA in English Literatures at the University of British Columbia, where her SSHRC-funded research engaged critically with contemporary Canadian poetry and poetics. Allegra is currently developing her first full collection of poetry, and she serves as an Assistant Poetry Editor at yolk and as a Poetry Intern with Planet Earth Poetry. She lives on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) peoples.
