As we look back, we are continuously transformed by the novelty of the present. In the beginning, three voices sang loudly and courageously. Their resonance was captured on reel-to-reel tape, physically looped around a dark-lit room, sounding and slowly degrading over time. This site-specific installation (which was part of the Wild Summer of Art 2025 exhibition @brutus.rotterdam ) is now a cassette tape and a live performance of voices and tape. Another attempt at sustaining a moment in time. - - - - Both release events are created in collaboration with tape aficionado and sound engineer extraordinaire Niek van den Driesschen from @faroutsoundstudio (Rotterdam). Our friend Ewoud van Eetvelde @ewoudvan.e will also be performing at Becue: acoustic guitar strings, voice and polyphonic sound diffusion a collaborative of improvised counterpoint and computational resynthesis on scattered small loudspeakers a process of translating, melting, getting dirty and warmly unravelling, subtle sound bath-like — on low volume Tape released with Black Road Studios Events supported by Zavod Sploh (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and the project Sluhodvod: Zborovanje.

Digging for traces of the past at Pianofabriek - During our holiday art week led by artists @ewoudvan.e @lafrikh , Mona Marchetti and Dries De Maeyer, children explored memories, shapes and sounds. Together they searched for stories almost forgotten and turned them into intruiging shadows, musical pieces and a cloth filled with old and new impressions.

Over the past years, his artistic work has evolved toward exploring sound and composition as architecture— as a space that can be hospitable and transformative through collective listening. Blending computational synthesis and microphone recordings, his practice merges environments that oscillate between worldly and the virtual. ~~~~~ Nieuwe resident bij Overtoon HQ! We verwelkomen Ewoud Van Eetvelde, een elektro-akoestische componist, installatiekunstenaar en professioneel gitarist uit Brussel die zich tijdens zijn residentie zal toespitsen op zijn installatie ‘Dromentuin’. De afgelopen jaren is zijn artistieke werk geëvolueerd naar het verkennen van geluid en compositie als architectuur – als een ruimte die gastvrij en transformatief kan zijn door collectief luisteren. Via de combinatie van computationele synthese en microfoonopnames, versmelt zijn praktijk omgevingen die oscilleren tussen het wereldse en het virtuele.

Release day of my trio ! 🎈 BÖE - Pure Tape Records Böe is german for ‘a gush of wind’ and I feel that wind when we play. The album was recorded in St. Maria church in Stuttgart on reel-to-reel tape and was first released as a tape exclusive on the label ‘Pure Tape Records’. Today we also make it available online for streaming and also on CD, which you can buy with us personally. Anyway we’re excited !! to share this music of the wind with you 🌬️ ♥️ Links in bio

WATCHMAKER RELEASE 🕰️ 🌬️ The first single THE WATCHMAKER with my trio BÖE 🌬️ is out today! We recorded a small album straight to tape in a beautiful church in Stuttgart @st._maria_als in October 2023, which was a real experience. Every note is recorded as it is played, with its sound, volume, timing and mix, and it will stay that way forever. Concentration was required. But in the end, a wonderful little album came out: PURE TAPE RECORDS. 🫧 Initially only on tape (if you own a tape machine, you can buy a master tape ✇). But on March 14th it will also be released online! 😍 For all those who can't wait: There is also a limited edition of CDs! 🤫 They sound fantastic. Let us know if you want a copy! 3 BÖE NEWS Ich habe seit meiner Stockholm Zeit ein Trio namens BÖE mit @charlyhaertel und @ewoudvan.e 🌬️ Im Oktober 2023 haben wir ein paar kleine Songs auf Tape in einer Kirche in Stuttgart aufgenommen. Davon gibt es derzeit nur Masterband-Kopien, für diejenigen, die eine Bandmaschine Zuhause haben. 🧙‍♀️ DREI ANKÜNDIGUNGEN: 1. Ab Freitag gibt es eine limitierte Auflage von 100 CDs für diejenigen, die noch ein Laufwerk haben! 👵 2. Wir werden ein Live-Video von einem unserer Songs releasen, das bei einem Konzert vor unseren Tape Aufnahmen entstanden ist. 🧑‍🏭 UND 3. Wir spielen diesen Freitag, 21. So, our release tour happened! We played for such sweet people in all these different places in Denmark and Belgium. Next to bars and a jazz klub, we managed usually in a very DIY style, to get our concert venues cozy and our sound on point - would it be an atelier, car park, art community space or a music rehearsal room.
