✨ Introducing @broadcast_shortfilm ’s cinematographer - Jackie Teboul ✨
Jackie is a French Director of Photography now based in the UK. She has lensed numerous short films screened at Academy Award- and BAFTA-qualifying festivals, including Aesthetica, BFI LFF, and BFI Flare. Alongside her narrative work, she maintains a strong interest in documentary and has shot three feature-length projects and numerous short-form works, including CHARACTER, which was shortlisted for a César in France.
✨ Introducing @broadcast_shortfilm ’s producer - Cara Mahoney ✨
Cara is a London-based actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker. She trained at The Oxford School of Drama and, in 2021, Cara founded Yonic Productions, a film company dedicated to amplifying women’s stories and creating opportunities for women in film.
Her award-winning short films, @fish_short_film and @molefilm —both of which she wrote, produced and acted in—are currently on the festival circuit. FISH premiered at BFI Flare (2025) and has since screened worldwide.
Cara has received several accolades for her short film script, @fullfatfilm , which is now in post-production. Cara also plays the part of Bels with award-winning director of @sisterwivesfilm , Louisa Connolly-Burnham directing.

ANGUS IMRIE as WILLIAM
Angus Imrie is perhaps best known for playing Prince Edward in The Crown and Creepy Jake in Fleabag. Standout roles on film include playing Merlin in The Kid Who Would Be King and Agent Charlie in Bong Joon-Ho’s Mickey 17. His other television work includes Industry and The Serpent Queen. Angus is the voice of Zero in Star Trek: Prodigy, and Nigel the scorpion in Netflix’s Back to the Outback. He will be seen this year in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming film, Artificial.
Broadcast is Ewan and Angus’s second collaboration after Rambler Man.

NELL BARLOW as CLAIRE
Nell Barlow’s breakout performance in which she played the lead in British independent film Sweetheart earned her the Breakthrough Performance award at the 2021 BIFAs as well as the BAFTA Breakthrough award in 2022.

HIFTU QUASEM as LAUREN
Hiftu Quasem is an actress best known for her role as Misha Virani in Ten Percent (Prime Video). She is currently appearing in Channel 4’s A Woman of Substance and will next be seen in Season 2 of Apple TV+’s Criminal Record.
Her screen credits include The Witcher (Netflix), Hostage (Netflix), Killing Eve (BBC), Lockerbie: A Search for the Truth (Sky), The Rig (Prime Video), and she stars in the feature films Sebastian and Something in the Water.
She recently wrapped the political-thriller feature Keep Her Quiet, starring alongside Amir El-Masry, Zar Ebrahimi and Sir Jonathan Pryce.
