I'm starting a monthly residency at @brixtonradiolive in South London! More than two years after having the best time ever on the waves of @kcsbfm , the time has come to dust off my radio voice and do community radio again! I'm joining the station with a show called Diskotéka Avantgarde<3
💫DISKOTÉKA AVANTGARDE? Fusing techno, breaks, and electronica from Eastern Europe, Diskotéka Avantgarde is a love letter to the Polish and Ukrainian underground. Get ready for medium/high-energy tracks paired with stories from the margins and personal reflections about music, culture, and history. 2h, 80% mixing, 20% yapping!
🕕WHEN? 6-8pm THIS SATURDAY (UK time)! and then every four weeks, same place, same time
🎠WHERE? The show will be livestreamed on the Brixton Radio Mixcloud and on the website:)
This show will allow me to showcase some super talented producers and DJs from Eastern and Central Europe! Promoting underground and queer artists that do not get as much exposure in the US/UK/Western Europe dominated mainstream is an intentional choice to support the scene in my original motherland xxx

going on a europe round-trip with 14 other promoters/djs to learn about event production was not something I thought I'd do this year, but it was one of the most special weeks of my life. the people, the peer-to-peer learning, the summer camp vibes - what a journey it was to go to riga, brussels and silandro with y'all<3

evska is a Polish/Swedish DJ with a passion for rave culture and the queer electronic music scene. She fell in love with mixing while hosting a show on KCSB-FM, a Californian student radio, and decided to continue her journey as a DJ upon returning to Edinburgh from her year abroad. After co-founding the techno LGBTQ+ club night ‘nektar,’ she quickly made waves in the underground scene in Edinburgh as a student, playing every club on Cowgate and supporting international acts like X-Coast and dj fuckoff.
A versatile performer, evska thrives on heavy, and deliciously raw beats—whether it’s techno, cheeky ghetto tech, ethereal trance or hardgroove. With a deep passion for the Eastern European underground, she was also selected as one of the up and coming nightlife creatives in 2024 by NightSchool, an VibeLab programme for night culture producers.
Now based in London, she showcases the best of Eastern European underground on Brixton Radio and dreams of having a residency at one of the established nightlife institutions
