I remember plenty of the great stuff from the Guggenheim Bilbao
@museoguggenheim in August trip
1) RICHARD SERRA
@richard.serra
The Matter of Time , 1994–2005
- the evolution of his sculptural forms is there. Go and get lost there for awhile. Don’t forget to ask the museum workers to tell you the story how the were moving those metal forms around the world, city of Bilbao and installing them into Museums. Other level of logistics…
2) BARBARA KRUGER
@barbarakruger45
Another day Day - Another time
- whose bold, thought-provoking work has captivated us for over five decades. Literally, she challenged how language functions in the media, in politics, and in our own inner dialogues.
No comments. She reminds me at my 14-16 tens ages doing provocative abstract collages. My mum didn’t allow me to cover my bedroom’s walls with my mad art. It might be still barred somewhere in a woods of my restricted childhood.
3) HELEN FRANKENTHALER
@helenfrankenthalerfoundation
Painting Without Rules.
-She best known for her invention of the soak-stain technique, played a pivotal role in the transition from Abstract Expressionism to Color Field painting
Love it all!! She just start paying with her words and never stoped till the end of her life in 2011.
Well, the sculptures, the #architectureanddesign by itself, the lighting, the lifts…the #outdoorart the #bilbaomuseum giant 🐜 and Yves Klein
