Stranger in the street,
How did this moment come to be?
Slice of life, you live it right?
How do you spend your nights?
What’s your story?
What brought you to this very place?
Something caught my eye
Perhaps your hair blowing in the wind
Or your unique energy
Maybe it’s something that reveals itself in me
Stranger in the street,
Although I don’t know you, thank you.
A love letter to the people and the fleeting moments I’ve had the chance to photograph.
Famous? (2023)
Handmade collage
Fragments from LIFE and National Geographic magazines

Photographs from August
These images were taken before I took some time off. I have heard other photographers preach that in order to be “good” you need to be shooting almost every day. In my belief, that is somewhat redundant. We are not computers, we are destined to burn out. As artists we often obsess over what we are working on or what the result may be. It is important to realize that balance is key. Sure the 10,000 hours rule is important if you are just starting out, but if your goal as an artist is longevity, then it is important to make time for other things outside of making the art. Even if it’s just a few days or a week, often times you come back to your work with a different perspective. A smaller goal for my own practice this year is to be intentional on where I put my time. In order to fulfill my goals I need to be more intentional on finding a balance of working on my craft and actually releasing it. I have been adding to my archives for quite some time without putting much of it out. More work coming this year. Thank you for the continuous support.

Wrinkles in my white tee
Sleeping with my window open
Body’s warm but my feet been cold
Step into, not away
Not away
I’m closer
Closer to arriving
Maybe this is just the beginning
Is this what time feels like?
Is this what light feels like?
