@louransmikhail “Excommunicado” takes a literal and metaphorical brush to the double standards of modern nationalism. Representing the sin of Pride, this piece from the “Different Strokes” series challenges the selective outrage of book bans and the “conform or repent” narrative.

This original, one-of-a-kind charcoal on paper explores the intricate depths of Lust. Through masterfully rendered figurative realism, Nguyen captures an unapologetic boldness and a profound sense of intimacy.
Dan Nguyen is a Vietnam-born figurative painter based in Ventura County and owns @theartstudioeleven with @thadtaylorart . Her work has been recognized internationally, including as a finalist in the 14th and 17th International ARC Salon Competitions. Her narrative-driven pieces celebrate individuality and the beauty of self-expression.

Representing the sin of Lust, Bobby’s work is driven by an incredible sense of curiosity and range. In “Form and Function,” he masterfully blends mixed media, including acrylics, oil, aerosol, and latex, to create a textured, experimental work that reflects his deep love for storytelling and stylistic exploration.

This shoot with @tcm.thedemon was set to make a submission for the Se7en Deadly Sins art show (runs till June 26th) at @evolvedartgallery
The Sin: Gluttony, in its most modern form, has nothing to do with food — it's the compulsive overconsumption of things we believe will finally make us feel whole. 1. This photograph explores that idea through a subject drowning in gold, drinking from a chalice of jewels and gold coins, surrounded by every material want fulfilled, yet wearing an expression of complete emptiness. 2. The red burning in her eyes represents her insatiable inner hunger that consumerism feeds but never satisfies, and the gold tears on her cheeks speak to the grief of someone trapped in the cycle of wanting more. 3. It's that contradiction — having everything and still feeling nothing — that I believe makes this the most relevant and honest interpretation of Gluttony for the world we live in today.

Reflecting on these past 6 months since opening the gallery doors, I’m filled with so much gratitude. After a long hiatus since sunsetting Evolved magazine, I wasn’t sure what to expect or if the community would still remember me.
Growing this space one show at a time has been an incredible journey. I feel so lucky to do what I love and am beyond thankful for your support of my avant-garde themes and weird visions.

Currently featured in our Se7en exhibition, ENVY: Obsession & Dysmorphia is a poignant exploration of self-perception by Oxnard-based graphic designer Andrea Mendoza @little.drea . Utilizing the sharp, reflective medium of printed glass, Mendoza translates the weight of dysmorphia into a hauntingly beautiful physical form.
These 9”x10” works are available for $220. While the Grey edition has officially sold, the Green edition is available!
