🟥 End of MIX for the upcoming EVOLUTION ZERO album. Another strong example of a hybrid mixing approach (analog / ITB), designed to combine digital precision with organic analog colour in a musical driven way. This is also the first mix done with my new rack reverbs (SPX90 and M2000), bringing a deeper sense of space and a more immersive sonic dimension to the project. The drums are processed through the IGS Volf (a rare choice for this kind of source), enhancing punch, character, and weight. The vocals run through the One LA Rack with significant gain reduction, intentionally driven into harmonic saturation, which works especially well on growls and aggressive vocal textures. On the mix bus, the Tubecore 3U glues everything together, adding cohesion, depth, and smooth analog density. 🟥 Huge respect and huge thanks to Evolution Zero for their trust and commitment. Encore un bel exemple de mixage hybride (analogique / ITB), pensé pour allier la précision du numérique et la chaleur organique de l’analogique dans une approche musicale. C’est également le premier mix réalisé avec mes nouvelles reverbs en rack (SPX90 et M2000), qui apportent une profondeur accrue et une dimension spatiale plus immersive au projet. La batterie passe par l’IGS Volf (un choix assez rare sur ce type de source), afin de renforcer l’impact, le caractère et la densité. Les voix sont traitées via le One LA Rack avec une réduction de gain importante, volontairement poussée vers une saturation harmonique contrôlée, particulièrement efficace sur les growls et textures vocales agressives. Sur le mix bus, le Tubecore 3U vient unir l’ensemble en apportant cohésion, glue et densité analogique. Un grand bravo et grand merci surtout à Evolution Zero pour leur confiance et leur implication. Cet album est un véritable coup de feu créatif, ( ho ho le jeu de mot 🦆🦆 ) intense du début à la fin.

🟥 Studio / Evolution zero 🟥 Since the gear is already out for the Hellgate guitars, I’m taking the opportunity to dive into the re-amping for the next Evolution Zéro album! Progressing bit by bit... 🤘 Unsurprisingly, I pulled out the Soldano again to layer the tracks. I’m currently pairing it with the hughes & kethner tri-amp to create a massive tonal contrast—two worlds colliding that actually complement each other perfectly. This is a brand-new combo for me, and the result is massive. 🎸🔥 ——— Real Band | Real gear | Real sound —— 🇫🇷 Tant que le matos est sorti pour les guitares de Hellgate, j'en ’rofite pour lancer le re-amping du prochain album d'Evo’ution Zéro ! Ça avance petit à petit... 🤘 Sans surprise, j'ai encore sorti la Soldano :) afin de completer les prises du Triamp hughes & kethener. Je travaille sur un mélange de deux amplis avec un contraste sonore important qui se complètent à merveille.
