This year @mamatriedshow was different. I think everyone there could feel it and see it. I appreciate all of the love and support we saw! đĽ
Seeing guys walk up and point out details on the Pan. Multiple guys telling me that a video pushed them to finally start their own project, get back to an old one or even brought them to this show. We had a guy all the way from Alaska stopped by and talk to us. Another who said he never misses a video and watches them all with his son. Having conversations about late nights in the garage, busted knuckles, learning the hard way, and still showing up the next day to keep building. Thatâs what makes it worth it.
Mama Tried has always been about the culture not just polished bikes, but real builders, real stories. This year it felt like the community side of it hit harder. Less ego. More connection.
Weâre not just building bikes.
Weâre creating a community for people. If you came up and said whatâs up, shared a story, or just stood there talking shop for a minute thank you!
Canât wait to see you at the next one. Till then keep the rubber down and the miles going high. đđ˝

Whatâs gonna put you and your bike on the ground just as fast as low pressure will?
Dry rotted and cracked tires. When you only got two tires donât risk it. If your tire looks like itâs been sitting in the desert for ten years, replace it youâre literally putting your life on a rubber compound thatâs already failing.
On the cheap tire debate: yeah a Shinko is going to cost you less today. But in 3,000-5,000 miles youâre back buying another one.
A Michelin, Dunlop, Pirelli, or Metzeler will sometimes go double or triple that. Do the math over a full year of riding and the cheap tire almost always costs you more. Buy the better tire once, or buy the cheap one three times. Your call.
Good tires will run you $300-$500. I donât know what your life is worth to you but I know itâs more than that.
Check your tires before every season. If you see cracking, donât talk yourself out of replacing it.
Two things kill brake fluidâŚ
Evaporation and Corrosion. If you canât see the bottom of your reservoir when you look in, itâs time to suck it out and refill.
But this is the important part. The cap tells you exactly what fluid your bike takes, so read it before you pour anything in. DOT 3 and 4 are yellow. DOT 5 is purple. If whatâs in there isnât the right color, someone probably put in the wrong fluid at some point. Unless itâs black, then itâs just bad.
Easy way to test compatibility if youâre not sure whatâs already in there: grab an eyedropper of each fluid type and drop them together. If they separate like oil and water, theyâre not compatible. If nothing happens, youâre good. Because mixing the wrong fluids will gel up your entire brake system over time. Then youâre trying to push rocks through your lines.
Check your cap, match your fluid, and donât skip this one. Itâs a brake system.

45 years old and I still need my momâs approval. Not even a little ashamed of it.
I may look intimidating and you best believe I will be if you mess with my mom. But everybody who knows me knows Iâm a full blown mamaâs boy and Iâm completely fine with it. You only get one. Love her to death. Couldnât ask for any better.
Every bike I build I get her opinion on. Sheâs always in the shop keeping the place in order. The parts I create, the motorcycles I build and everything else wouldnât be the same without her.
Happy Motherâs Day to all the moms out there. Especially mine. đ§

Eight years ago Harley laid my mom offâŚ
and I sent her a text offering her a job working for a shitty employer that doesnât pay anything. She took it. Why? Well her son is the employer.
Honestly if it wasnât for her none of this runs. She keeps the business side of things together while Iâm out here losing wrenches on camera. Couldnât do it without her and I probably donât say that enough.
Happy Motherâs Day Mom. Youâre underpaid and overqualified and we all know it. đ§

Donât bring your bike to me. đŹ
Go ahead and just check this first. The fix could be quicker, simpler and cheaper than you think.
Check your tire pressure before you assume somethingâs wrong.
Motorcycle tires bleed air the same way car tires do. Sometimes even faster. Cold nights, warm days, sitting in the garage. Park it at 38 PSI and come back a month later and youâre could be sitting at 20-something.
Low pressure means the tire canât find its stiffness in the sidewall, and thatâs exactly what causes that high speed wobble thatâll have you second guessing everything. Harley recommends 38 PSI and thatâs the number to be at before every ride.
Two minutes with a tire gauge before you roll out. Thatâs it.
