ÑUSTA SHASTA, beloved queen! An altar of life rising to a height of 4,322 meters (14,179 feet) above sea level, a stratovolcano located in Northern California. Ñusta (priestess), guardian of divine waters, angel in service to life, her precious presence impacts, delights, and purifies the soul of all who behold her. Apu (spirit of the mountain), respected and a destination of pilgrimage for many beings who love life and are intuitive of the subtle. In 2017, I made my first offering to Apu Ñusta Shasta. It was there that I received the guidance to go to Guatemaya, where I met Dorothy, a sister who later bécame a bridge to meeting @brianmdunham , who is now my soul brother, my ally in life, and who has a deep connection with Ñusta Shasta. He is the first white eagle man I know who has such a profound devotion, love and connection with an Apu (mountain spirit), and last year, in 2025, we went together to visit her. We brought offerings, sang songs, and kissed her skin with every step we took. Relating to life from that innocence and respect makes my life golden. I am grateful to the ancestral wisdom that has helped us remember the ways of relating to Divine Creation. In July, with @evolutionaryjourneys we will host a pilgrimage in this sacred territory, where we will connect with this beautiful sanctuary of Mama Shasta through ancestral mindfulness practices we will hike for peace and deepen our relationship with the Apus and life itself. For those of us who are here to create a different kind of world 🌎🌈 Perhaps at one point (or a few) you sat with the soul crushing realization that the world we imagined as innocent children is not the same world we inherited . . . And business continues as usual driving a cycle of loss . . . My whole life I was an honors student— on track to play the game of status quo. I graduated university at the top of my class with the one of academia’s heaviest degrees: ecological sciences 🌎🚜🏭 In deeply understanding Nature, I felt the lightness & harmony of being that is inherent to living systems 🌿🌸 But the world thought differently 🤑 With a broken heart, I felt immediately lost after graduation and apprenticeship in the jungle. I felt the expectation to get a job that pushes the norms when in reality I had even more questions guiding my path. That’s when I discovered Lake Atitlan 🌋🤍💦🌈🌅 When I first arrived 8 years ago, I had the instant reassurance that reality is much more expansive than we have been taught. I sat with the Mayan elders, the magical lands, cacao, and the Earth 🌎 I learned about my heart, energy body, ceremony, and ancient cosmologies. I suddenly didn’t feel so alone 🤍🪽 I opened to hear the subtle guidance . . . I realized that there is an entire team of support. Coming home to Nature is one of the most human things we can do ground into a sustainable & regenerative future 🌿 There is a softer form of understanding how we can create change on this Earth 🌎🌹 It does not come from the ways we have been taught. It comes from the feminine super power: 🌹 Softening 🧘 Listening 💦 Feeling 🖤 Creating space to sit with the discomfort 🌈 Alchemizing 🌸 Opening ⭕️ Connecting 💚 This is the very essence of Nature— she transmutes from the INSIDE What if changing the world starts as an inside job?
