Through the SERA MIJEL SAE program, more than 220,000 residents from all over Depok pitched in to collect used cooking oil from their homes. The total? A record-breaking 45,300 liters, officially recognized by MURI! 🙌
What's the oil for? It is collected and being processed into bioavtur, an eco-friendly fuel for aircrafts, in collaboration with Greenia. Oh, and people could exchange 3 liters of used oil for 1 liter of clean cooking oil which was a solid deal.
Huge respect to all the PKK teams, volunteers, and Depok locals who made this happen. It wasn’t easy, but the hard work really paid off. Let’s keep it going for a cleaner, greener city!
