This is one of those places I have a hard time putting into words just how incredible it was! But I’ll give it a shot….
Since the views speak for themself let me tell you about the people who made these 3 weeks of raw and off the beaten path travel just so special to me. Countless times we would be driving through a village and people from all ages would hurry to the street side to wave in excitement. Entire classes running up to us to practice the little bit of English that they’ve learned in school, the look of shock and joy from elderly people when they noticed us, and the frequent selfies that occasionally turned straight into their Facebook profile pictures 😁 Everywhere we stopped we were greeted with warm hospitality, big smiles, and genuine excitement that I can only describe as life changing. Bold claim, I know… but if you can’t take my word for it please go and see for yourself! Trust me, views are only the tip of the iceberg when you encounter kindness like this.

We have all lost somebody important to us way too early… regardless of how great the future looks or how bad the present is, we’re blessed to be alive right now— don’t wait to do something you’ve always wanted to 💙🤙🏼
We all have responsibilities and need to provide for somebody so I’m not saying to drop all of that. Having dreams of what the future holds are important; but what happens if we don’t make it to retirement? Or we do, but we aren’t physically capable of doing the things we aspired to do for all those years saving up for it… book the trip, step out of your comfort zone, take a risk for something you’ve been wanting, tell somebody you haven’t in a while just how much they mean to you— go now💥
There’s no place quite like Indonesia! It never ceases to amaze me the amount of joy and excitement I get from adventuring around this wildly diverse island nation🇮🇩 Absolutely epic adventure and genuine connections have left me feeling incredibly blessed. Embarking on a new adventure with some of my best friends here tonight💥 can’t wait to bring you along the way!

The only thing better than the boat trips and these views were the people I got to share it with! Not just my friends, but the warm and generous locals who really treated us as if we were family. I feel so blessed by the memories of kindness from people I’ve met across my time here the past 3 years. I cannot recommend it enough as something you have to go experience for yourself 😁 a hui hou 🇵🇭
