I’m currently at Starbucks trying to get a couple hours of deep work in (it felt impossible to get anything done at home with my boys being too cute and cuddly) Opened my inbox and instantly felt that familiar wave of anxiety & stress. When we first pitched this product to one of our former buyers at @shoppersbeauty , she loved the idea but was clear about one thing: the spray had to feel peaceful. At the time, we thought we nailed it—that the product was ready. But after that meeting, we went back to the drawing board.
We tested five more nozzles, each with a slightly different pressure—because we’ve all used a face spray that feels like a water gun to the forehead. We needed the experience of this product to live up to its intention: CALM. And when we went back to rethink the nozzle, we ended up rethinking everything—the name, the bottle, even the size options and the formula and spent another 8 months perfecting it.
All this to say: feedback matters. Every product we make is shaped by the community around us. It’s the small details—the little things—that turn a product into something worth obsessing over.
