Steroid Era is my new 12-track project entirely produced by @c_lance_ . C-Lance and I both have a strong love for 90’s hip hop and baseball especially the “Steroid Era” a time back when a few legendary players took the game to new heights never seen before.
While writing these songs I found that baseball was a perfect metaphor for the high-pressure stakes of the music industry. It was in that frame work that I was able to explore themes like family, independence and the importance of being authentic in this manufactured world.
I wanted to write songs that would reflect my own struggles trying to persevere through all the years grinding in the shadows.

At this stage of my career collaborating with my friends and family is probably one of my greatest rewards. The “Steroid Era” cover was hand painted by my uncle Sal who has been a huge supporter of my art and music ever since I was a kid.
Besides painting Sal has been a working actor in Vancouver for 40+ years on the stage and on screen. In the mid 80’s he studied theatre in New York working on his craft by day and driving a taxi cab by night.
I’ve been lucky enough to have him perform in all types of video productions of mine over the years and he’s always been someone I could depend on to help me make my dreams become reality.
Our relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing but he always made time for me and loved me for who I was and that was all I could really ask for. I feel very fortunate to have him in my life.
I love you Sal.
