A V I S L E C T U R E đŸ’« Les Échos - Evie Wyld 𝐕𝐼 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐳 @librairiedutramway ✹ L’écriture est simple et fluide, l’histoire est franche et Ă©motionnelle : un combo parfait pour une histoire ! Ce qui ressemble Ă  une histoire de fantĂŽme finie par ĂȘtre traitĂ©e comme celle d’un deuil et d’une remise en question. L’histoire est originale, on pense suivre un fantĂŽme aprĂšs sa mort, dans ce qui semble ĂȘtre une histoire surnaturelle mais finalement rien Ă  voir (enfin si un peu quand mĂȘme) ! Hannah n’a rien de l’hĂ©roĂŻne parfaite des romans, elle a de nombreux dĂ©fauts, elle est pĂ©nible mĂȘme pour le.a lecteur.ice et elle en fait des choses qui la fait ĂȘtre dĂ©testĂ©. Mais pourtant on l’aime bien quand mĂȘme. Au delĂ  de tout ça c’est une hĂ©roĂŻne forte qui nous entraĂźne dans les trĂ©fonds de son histoire, celle avec Max, le fantĂŽme, comme celles qu’elle se cachait Ă  elle mĂȘme aussi. L’écrit est touchant et beau, bestial et dur Ă  la fois. Et on en redemanderait presque ! Les sujets sont traitĂ©s d’une telle façon que chacun pour s’identifier Ă  un moment de sa vie. BILAN APRÈS LECTURE : . Euuuh Hannah je comprends mais au bout d’un moment ouvre les yeux aussi quoi . Le perso de Max me perturbe encore

J’ai pas l’habitude de lire des livres qui parlent de ces sujets lĂ  et waouh c’était fort đŸ€žđŸ»et vachement drĂŽle par moment en plus ptdrr My Les Échos quote đŸ’« « - JĂ©tais en train de rĂȘver, lui dis-je en l’aidant Ă  se frictionner le dos. Je me suis rĂ©veillĂ©e et j’ai cru que tu Ă©tais mort. -Comme il serait poli de ma part de sortir du lit et d’aller mourir dans le couloir ! -C’est juste que tout Ă©tait si calme. I am delighted to announce that on 13th May, I will be hosting an evening of in conversation with Evie Wyld, one of my favourite authors of all time! We will be discussing Evie’s latest book, The Echoes, her writing processes in general, and much more. There will also be the opportunity for audience members to ask Evie their own questions and get their copies signed! Evie won the Miles Franklin Award and The Stella Prize for fiction in Australia, and is the recipient of The John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, a Betty Trask Award, the European Union Prize, the Jerwood Fiction Prize and the Encore Award. Her novels have been longlisted for the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction, the Costa Novel Prize and shortlisted for the IMPAC International Dublin Literary Award, The Sky Arts Breakthrough Award and the James Tait Black Prize. In 2013 she was included in Granta’s once-a-decade list of Best of Young British Novelists. She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. I loved this book- slow burn horror, restrained writing, tension the whole way through, and very smelly. đŸȘ° Putrefying in the best way.
