Today marks the start of National Foster Care Awareness Month and with that I’m honored to share that I’ll be serving as @nfyinstitute 2026 Congressional Delegate for Arizona representing Congressional District 4 and my community on a national stage.
I’m celebrating and raising awareness with NFYI by telling you about their campaign, Urgency to Act: Fostering Pathways to Social and Economic Mobility. This pillar focuses on empowering youth with education, workforce development and life skills.
I experienced firsthand what it’s like to leave foster care and be expected to navigate adulthood; rent, credit, employment and healthcare, without ever being taught how, while also carrying the weight of instability and past trauma. That experience showed me that when foster youth struggle, it’s not a lack of effort, it’s a gap in the system.
I still see that gap in my work today. So many youths are aging out of the system. That’s why I focus on financial education and housing readiness in a way that’s practical and trauma-informed. When we act early and provide the right support, we’re not just helping youth get by, we’re giving them a fair chance to feel stable, secure, and in control of their future. Excited to advocate, learn, and create meaningful change alongside incredible people across the country.
This isn’t just policy work to me… This work is personal. It’s why I use my voice, why I refuse to let young people fall through the cracks, and why I started @villagedeamoraz a non profit providing resource's and support to youth aging out of foster care.

Hi Life Update...
I’ve partnered with @monessa88 to help open Village de Amor a local Nonprofit group home for teens in foster care. At VDA we work with an amazing team that’s dedicated to help end homelessness after foster care. Right now our goal is to grow awareness and our social media presence.
We’re hosting our 1st Annual Casino night Fundraiser on September 25th to benefit our cause, and would love to see you there! You can purchase tickets on our website (Link in Bio).
To help fund programs for the group home I’ve created @belafloresdesigns and @vdasangels a platform where I’ve partnered up with small business owners/artists to help showcase their products & pieces where they donate a portion of their proceeds to VDA
