(Pictures from post by @streetview.portraits ) I was lucky enough to be the model for Jacqui (@streetview.portraits ) during one of @louisvuitton ‘s 200 art projects in 2021, LOUIS 200. Jacqui’s project was titled “digital hallucinations of no where and no one.” Installations of our project alongside 199 others were displayed in Louis Vuitton stores globally, and also on the Louis Vuitton website in parts of November and December in 2023. Jacqui and other chosen artists’ work was displayed in exhibitions in many big cities throughout the last year — from Paris, New York, Tokyo, London, and ultimately, back in New York — where a trunk per project was auctioned off at Sotheby’s in December last year. Ultimately, #louis200 raised over 2 million euros for underprivileged artists around the world. Jacqui, also known as the Agoraphobic Traveller, used AI and GANS (generative adversarial networks) with the help of Digital Technologist Tom Roope to create these pieces out of thousands of screenshots from Google street view. So so rad. I had the pleasure of embodying the Anonymous silhouette in which personified the “no one” in the hallucinations of “no where”. Here are some photos of displays in stores around the world… the coolest experience for me was when Dad sent me a video of the displays in a LV store from the city he lives; he spotted me in a store in Dubai Mall! So much gratitude still for this experience, especially for Melanie (@talesofherportrait ) for reaching out and giving me a chance to be a part of the magic!
