Last night DIE BULLY DIE swept
@queerscreen ’s 32nd
@sydneymardigras Film Festival, winning Best Screenplay, Best Short Film and the Audience Choice Award! 🤯🤯🤯
For what was quite possibly DIE BULLY DIE’s final Sydney film festival screening, it felt like a beautiful bookend for the film’s journey so far, which had its world premiere at the same
@event_georgest cinemas last year where it won Best Short Film at
@sydfilmfest .
And for our queer horror comedy to win these three awards during Mardi Gras, when Sydney is bursting with pride, and glitter, and camp, and community, makes it even more special. 🌈🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️☺️
Thank you to Queer Screen and Sydney Mardi Gras for yet another FAB film festival and congrats to the equally FABBBBB films that we were lucky enough to screen alongside. Congrats on all your stunning, moving, vibrant work. Queer films 4 eva!
Thank you to
@pridefoundationaustralia and every single one of our
@ausculturalfund donors who made this film possible and to our magnificent major donors! (You know who you are!)
Thank you to the big, bold, beaut, brave DIE BULLY DIE team. We cannot thank every creative who worked on this film enough. Your craft and technique and talents helped bring this warped story to the world.
And a final thank you to the queer community: this film is for you. It’s our ode to the joy of being queer and the sometimes bumpy journey it takes to find it. Go find loads of it at
@sydneymardigras this weekend! 😜🪩🌈🥹
