It's Mental Health Awareness Week 🤎
Most of us work in fields where we look after others, such as Hospitality, Health Care, Social Services, Education etc.
Hospitality, in particular can be beautiful, but it can also be exhausting. Long hours. Financial pressure. Constant people-facing energy. Smiling while carrying pains in our own heart.
Also, in many ethnic minority communities, conversations around mental health are still difficult. Many of us were taught to “stay strong” and keep moving. Showing emotion were seen as weakness.
But strength also means being Kind to yourself. knowing when to speak. Rest. Check on others and when to ask for help.
So this week, show some love to yoursel, check on your friends and colleagues. Check on your staff.
Most important, check on yourself.
A conversation can change more than you think.

I’m in the UK for 2 weeks and my first stop even before I get a proper nights sleep has to be @everyfishbar
This black owned fish n chip shop has been on my to go list for such a long long time.
And they really got me right with this top tier meal.
Your average chip shop menu but elevated with Caribbean and African menu staples.
By far the best chip shop experience I’ve ever had!
Chip shop chips, chilli fish, jollof, fried plantain, suya, crab balls…. You know one thing imma do is eat!
I give this experience 10/10, no faults at all! Great customer service, good quality tasty food!
