Welcome to the Bob Allen Arboretum! During his nearly 40-year career as an arborist, Bob brought to life his creative and innovative concept of a botanical garden featuring trees that can thrive underneath our power lines in NH, MA, and CT to help our neighbors plant the right tree in the right place. “It gives our customers, landscape architects, students, tree wardens, and government officials, the opportunity to see what a specific tree looks like in relation to the wires during all four seasons,” Bob said. In honor of his legacy, we recently renamed our arboretum in Hooksett after Bob. Hear more from our Manager of Vegetation Management Ian Farley. #eversource #nh #ct #ma #arboretum #trees #arborist

Big trucks delivered big smiles and big support for early childhood education at the 19th Annual Co-op Touch-A-Truck. Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a bucket ride and a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of our lineworkers. 👍

Yesterday, the City of Framingham celebrated its annual Arbor Day of Service along the Cochituate Rail Trail! 🌳💚 Led by the Framingham Public Works Highway Division in partnership with City of Framingham Parks & Recreation Department and students from Keefe Regional Technical School, the day focused on caring for and improving one of our community’s beautiful green spaces. Volunteers and crews worked together on routine tree pruning, removal of high risk trees, and the planting of several new trees to help strengthen and sustain the trail’s natural landscape for future generations. We are especially grateful to Eversource MA for generously donating trees for this year’s event and for working directly with Keefe Tech students during the planting efforts. A sincere thank you as well to American Climbers, Arbor Works LLC , and Dillon Tree Service Inc. for dedicating their time, expertise, and hard work alongside City staff and students throughout the day. A special congratulations goes to Keefe Tech student Declan Regan, who was presented with a special jersey in recognition of his outstanding academic performance, dedication, and achievements throughout his years at Keefe Tech. 👏 In the afternoon, Framingham’s Tree Warden read the official Arbor Day proclamation signed by Mayor Charlie Sisitsky, recognizing the importance of protecting and investing in Framingham’s urban forest and environmental future. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Arbor Day of Service such a success! 🌱

DYK our power line corridors are a perfect habitat for plants and wildlife, including the monarch butterfly? Monarchs are part of a wider network of pollinators that help flowering plants reproduce, supporting ecosystems that provide essentials like food, clean air, purified water and healthy soil. That’s why we’ve enrolled more than 70,000 acres of electric transmission and distribution rights-of-way across CT, MA, and NH in the nationwide Monarch Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances. Here’s our Director of Environmental Permitting Denise Bartone to tell you more about it. 🦋
