Just showing my daily routine of running fluids via pump to my port. I get fluids for POTS to help my blood volume, blood pressure, and it also helps my gut motility 💩 I get 2L a day 5 days a week and usually run them throughout my workday because each liter takes 4 hours. The pumps allows me to move around freely by just carrying everything around in that little bag and everything infuses at a steady rate. I’ve been on this routine since the start of the 2022 when I got my port and I’m glad I’ve gotten it down to a pretty quick routine. All in all this took me 7 minutes and that’s on a day where I was having trouble getting blood return so it’s usually quicker. I’m glad today is Friday so I can deaccess at the end of my infusions and have the weekend needle-free. Feel free to ask any questions. ✨5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reads of 2023 ✨ I got…very into reading this year and by the time I got into audiobooks halfway through the year, I was blazing through books all day, every day! These were my favorites in no particular order. I’m not sure what constitutes a 5 Star read for me but it has to have an extra something special where I can’t stop thinking about it, even weeks after reading it and having delved into many other stories. These are the ones that really stood out to me. I wish I could be an organized person and do this by genre but please know these are all romances. Some are fantasy, some are contemporary, a few historical. I was tempted to leave out the very popular books like Fourth Wing and Divine Rivals but I read them both twice this year so I feel like they need to be mentioned. I should probably mention A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas which I read twice this year as well but that was a reread! It’s still very close to my heart. Are any of these 5⭐️ for you too? San Diego Comic Con was a whirlwind as usual. Less panels/no celebrities was different but we still had a great time and got some exclusives, saw some screenings, made line friends, went to offsites, got swag, and supported artists. We’re already locked in for next year and looking forward to it once SAG & WGA have reached fair agreements! The Hellfire Gala was a fun excuse to do these cosplays as Kitty Pryde and Pyro from the X-men comics. San Diego’s Little Italy is also so cute and we discovered the accessibility of the trolley after getting a hotel more than a mile from the convention center. The trolley was really great and has a ramp button on every car. It was awesome. It only failed to work twice during our 5 days there. I got laid off yesterday after 7 years at the same company. This is more of a look back on my time as a graphics operator in the control room than a video editor since I spent most of the last 3 years doing that at home.
