As requested! I posted a poll a while back asking what kind of reel of my job people would like to see and the winner by far was working eventide days.
Not pictured is driving our equipment to centennial square, setup, takedown and the amount of time I spend each eventide walking around behind my camera, so here are the film-able parts! Eventide has absolutely been one of my favourite parts of this job (which is actually hard to say because there's so much to love) but I have lots to share from these nights so I'll definitely make another one of these videos in a week or two! All the thanks to @cfuvmusic and @eventidemusicseries for the opportunity of a lifetime. I'll forever be grateful for these experiences 😁

The crowds absolutely showed out for eventide metal night on July 30th with a huge crowd representation of the local metal scene thanks to crazy set curation by @cavitycuriosityshop and @supremeechorecords in celebration of supreme echo’s 22nd year as a record label and 10th year as a shop!
Every previous eventide night my focus has been entirely on photographing the musicians, with a handful of shots of the crowd’s vibe, but this time, with a show curated toward such a niche and tight knit scene in Victoria, the energy was so amazing that I couldn’t help but focus more on the crowd.
The first thing I noticed looking out at the biggest crowd of the year was the remarkable number of patched denim jackets, which led me on a different mission than usual, capturing a different side of eventide, which is the space it creates for community and the local music scene to thrive. #communityradio #yyjmusic #yyjevents #metalhead #localmusicscene #gigtoria #victoriabc #yyj
