Our Espresso Banana Bread has slowly become one of those things people keep coming back for on weekends.
Made using our in-house espresso blend, Mundane Routine — bringing deep chocolate notes and a rich coffee character that works perfectly with the sweetness of ripe bananas.
Baked fresh in-house, soft, comforting, and made to pair naturally with coffee.
If you’ve tried it already, you probably know why it quietly became a weekend favourite.
Available at our cafe this weekend!
Introducing our first line of ceramic matcha bowls through Eventide Essentials.
An exploration of form, glaze, and individuality — where no two pieces are ever the same. Each bowl was created with the intention of letting the natural movement of glaze and process define its character, embracing the beauty of variation rather than perfection.
Crafted by @curvebyshefali , whose work is rooted in a deep understanding of form and a sensitivity to glaze, every piece carries surfaces that feel layered, textured, and entirely one of one.
Eventide Essentials has always been about collaborating with brands and artists we genuinely admire. More than products, it’s about shared values — care, intention, and a commitment to doing things well.
In the same way we approach coffee, these collaborations are built around people who see craft not as output, but as a practice.
Launching our first ever Thermal shock from Ratnagiri Estate. Curated by Yettu. Excited for this Thermal shock to join our growing collection of diverse coffees - each unique in its own way.
We call it Peach Eyes for the vibrant, peach forward cup that we got when we first cupped it. Expect Prunes, Cherry cola and a spritzer like body followed by a mellow aftertaste.
Available on our website and served in-store from now.
Salted Cream Chocolate
Our signature cold chocolate, smooth and rich, finished with a light sea salt cold foam that lifts and balances every sip.
We recommend drinking it straight (not through a straw)—so you taste the layers as they come together.
Introducing the Fig Matcha Latte
Made with our in house fig compote, slow cooked for a deep, natural sweetness — folded into a clean, balanced matcha.
Soft, layered, and quietly indulgent.
On the menu for a limited time.
Introducing the first release under Eventide Essentials — the “Brew it your way” tee.
When we decided to create a merch line, we were clear about one thing: we only wanted to work with brands we genuinely love and use in our everyday lives. The first name that came to mind was @marchtee .
Their philosophy mirrors ours — doing the simple things, exceptionally well.
This tee is exactly that. A clean, oversized silhouette that fits right into our laid-back approach, paired with the kind of quality and comfort you’ll notice the moment you put it on.
Now available at Eventide Cafe.
When we thought of building a menu around bread, slow morning brunch, and ingredients we could source locally around us, we knew we had to do a breakfast burger.
It starts with the softest in-house brioche bun, a juicy patty made from good minced beef tenderloin, and to make it properly breakfast-y, we added a layer of shredded boiled egg and finished it with a melt of Gruyère on top.
A proper breakfast burger, just the way we imagined it.
When it comes to running multiple coffees in our lineup, the real challenge is dialing in each one while making sure the whole team can brew them consistently.
We keep the recipe simple. The dose stays the same, we usually work within a 1:15 or 1:16 ratio, and the only variables we adjust are brew temperature and grind size for each coffee. With the help of our Bentwood grinder, communicating grind size becomes much easier as well.
This gives us a simple, reliable system to calibrate and maintain consistency across all the coffees we serve.
At the end of the day, we’re simply a coffee shop that wants to showcase each of our coffees in the best possible way—and this system helps us do exactly that.
Today we dialled in our new coffee “Cherry Wine” it’s an anaerobic naturals from Balmaadi, Nilgiris. It’s a beautiful coffee that is best expressed as a light roast slightly towards medium. We brew it at a 94 deg C using 450 microns grind size and in 1:16 ratio.
If you do buy our coffee and brew them at home. Feel free to ask us how we brew our coffee while trying them at our cafe and we will make sure to get you as close as possible to how you experience them at Eventide!
Couldn’t make up our mind if we need to start earlier or close later. So…. starting tomorrow we will be open from 9AM - 10PM.
Come early or stay later - at Eventide.
In the evolving coffee landscape of Chennai, @eventidecoffee is a specialty coffee space built around one core idea — coffee as an experience. Inspired by the quiet poetry of sunset, the café reflects a slower, softer hour through minimal, tactile interiors, a subtle brutalist ceiling, clean lines, and warm, intentional lighting — thoughtfully designed by @thebillboards.co .
At its heart lies precision-roasted, ethically sourced coffees crafted to create sensory moments. The kitchen mirrors this philosophy, baking everything fresh in-house each day, guided by seasonality and responsibly sourced ingredients — no additives, just honest flavours and an unhurried experience in every cup.
