🚨Today is the last day to take part in the #EVENSurvey 🚨 MPs and campaigners are alarmed over proposals in the government crime reduction plan, which includes more frequent stop and search, criminals undertaking “visible” community service and a trial of “alcohol tags”. Dan Ellingworth, EVENS team member says, “It is hugely disappointing that the Government are committing themselves to an expansion of the use of stop and search by the police. Early results from the EVENS Survey confirm that this is disproportionately experienced by Black and Asian people, particularly young men, and the experience is strongly associated with lower levels of trust in the police.” How do you feel about the new proposal?
