So I dropped out of sight here for a few months, busy with other pieces of my life and irritated about so many unfinished pieces in the studio. But now I’m back in production, thanks to a 14-week class I’ve enrolled in. Here are 3 “play” boards from an assignment calling for total freedom, looseness, and fun in the painting process. More non-abstract pieces—I gave several drawings to my travel companions, so I’ve repeated a couple of those here. I’m not giving up abstract painting, but Greece is still inspiring these little sketches.
About 99% of all structures on Naxos are white, with a bit of color on doors & wrought iron rails. The effect is so beautiful, but I’m finding it challenging to sketch! Not to worry—I’ve got about 100 photos to consult for practice.
