For eight days we wandered amongst the biggest mountains Iāve ever seen, trekking through them each day and sleeping beneath them each night. We talked to cows as we crossed large fields, navigated our way over glaciers, took off our shoes to cross rivers, and picked our way down scree fields. At 16,000ft our lungs burned from altitude the whole time and thanks to the temps - well below freezing as soon as the sun hid behind the mountains - we spent an ungodly amount of hours in our tent. By the end of the trek we were covered in a thick layer of dirt and grime, had nursed various wounds, got violently ill from eating food we shouldnāt have eaten, and even met a few locals in a place that I didnāt think was habitable.
It was everything we couldāve asked for and more and I know Iāll look at these scans with a big smile for the rest of my life. This is what itās all aboutĀ šļøā¤ļø
Photographer @evanruderman is joining the Caravan roster š¤
Evan Ruderman is a California-based commercial photographer who creates dynamic, story-driven imagery for outdoor and lifestyle brands around the globe.
Raised under the notion that the best things in life arenāt things, Evan is drawn to fleeting moments where movement, environment, and human spirit collide. He looks to find beauty in the ordinary and is willing to go to great lengths to show people the extraordinary.
With a background rooted in outdoor adventure and extensive experience on commercial sets, Evan moves seamlessly between remote mountain ranges, frigid coastlines, and fast-paced sets. Heās as comfortable working in unpredictable conditions as he is on structured productions, bringing the same level care and attention to detail to both. Evan has worked with brands including Apple, Nissan, Billabong, Iceland Air, Black Diamond, Redbull, Osprey Packs, Sony, La Sportiva, Roark, and many more. When heās not behind the camera, youāll find him surfing, snowboarding, playing or watching soccer, sleeping in his truck camper, and drinking far too much coffee.
Spring ā26 Sportlite campaign for @ospreypacks . Put this one together from top to bottom - they asked me to create a campaign that was fun, playful, and vibrant and let me take care of the rest. The goal was to show that these packs are for anyone and everyone, a simple yet technical daypack for outdoor enthusiasts from casual to diehard.
The role of photographer can be quite blurred these days (to manyās dismay) but I do enjoy getting to craft campaigns like this. Iād been wanting to shoot in the Pacific Northwest for a long time and this project was the perfect excuse to go up there. I got to bring in @ariellesheres to produce, called up @bradydmickelson to tackle video, and casted some amazing local talent @krystinnorman@peterforscale and @trail.blazer___ .
In and out of the Seattle airport in 48hr, this was one of those jobs where everything went right. Perfect weather, great locations, amazing crew full of energy and smiles. Nothing better than when it all comes together. Thanks @ospreypacks for the continued trust.
Never in my wildest dreams ā¤ļø
Back to the very first place we camped together, but this time I asked her to marry me. Best weekend we couldāve ever asked for, hereās to forever @ariellesheres !!
Last set for @runjanji Spring 2026.
Goal of this one was to look warm and sunny but in real life it was well below freezing and I spent most of the week trying to frame snow out of all the images - all part of the fun. Big thanks to the crew for pushing through the cold temps and keeping smiles on their faces through the whole week.
