something very sad happened as I was driving down Mauna Kea (a mountain in Hawaii known as a “realm of the gods”).
after experiencing perhaps the most incredible sunset of my life, on top of one of the most sacred sites in all of Hawaii, I found myself constantly looking at my phone.
despite being in one of the most incredible places on the planet, surrounded by a very magical energy…I was still glued to this little screen.
the plan was to take star photos near the summit, but they had to close the uppermost part of the road for the night due to possible weather conditions. So I drove down just a bit and found this tree.
anyway, the point is: even in the most sacred and beautiful places on earth, the power of the screen can still dominate.
