I made a rickshaw 🛺 pin for charity, got some people to buy it, and rang in the new year by passing the money on to Maiti Nepal, a well-established organization that can rescue a girl for just $200. This little pin project raised $500 (with a little bump from my wife and me). That small amount will give two girls freedom and a chance at a new life. It’s not much but I think it’s the best money we ever spent. Thanks everyone!

As she turned one, we learned that Kaia hates cake so much that just having frosting on her fingers will make her gag repeatedly. So she’s still cake free but loves a peeled and chopped grape.
