Over the weekend, we filmed a series of interviews with 8 cameras and a million monitors. It went great; in large part because of the efforts of @themattvegas2.0 and @nickgorey .
Thank you @markwalpole_ for the opportunity and for tossing me onto the dolly mid interview and taking these photos

If you’re working with me, and the camera points your way, chances are I’m going to snag a screen grab of you on my monitor. Or maybe ask you to take a “selfie” with me if the camera is facing us. These are my favorites from 2024.
I’m incredibly thankful for all the DP’s, AC’s, crew, producers, coordinators, agencies, companies, and clients who tossed me work this year. I take every opportunity seriously, even if we aren’t acting like it between takes
2024 Year in Review (1/4)
Trying to find balance between being less precious about posting photos I like and limiting how much I feed Zuckerberg’s uncaring social media monster.
So, anyway, here’s a peaceful island pic that makes me feel relaxed because I was relaxed when I took it
You know you’ve peaked when you get to pull focus from the throne 🚽

One of my favorite things on the @smallhd monitors is the ability to snap a screenshot. It’s become a habit to try and snag a grab anytime the camera gets pointed my way - usually when docking between takes or resting during setups. Every now and then I get other people to get in these selfies with me.
This year was crazy busy and I got to work with so many talented, skilled, friendly, amazing people. Some I’ve known my entire career and others we only met in 2021. I want to say thank you to all of them - thank you to those who trusted me with your camera department and focus, those who helped support me as 2nd ACs, PAs, or lent a hand from another department, those who recommended me, and those who simply made being on set a better place to be.
So here’s some of my favorite screenshots with cameos by some of my favorite people.
I look forward to seeing you in 2022 and getting some more monitor selfies!

Sunset at the Jefferson Memorial last month alongside the fine folks at @itsjanuarythird . This is my favorite monument in DC because of its location along the tidal basin. The views, no matter the weather, are sometimes beautiful, sometimes somber, but always striking.
