This album captures a time of massive change and growth in my life. Listening back now, I hear myself just trying to figure it all out. Reflecting on the experience of making it reminds me that every part of the album is imbued with the love, the loss, the people, the places—the life force—that shaped it.
To celebrate the anniversary, I had Deepening Heart remastered by the legendary Bob Macc at Subvert Central Mastering. The result honestly blew me away. It sounds so effortlessly musical and cohesive. Bob is a magician.
Also… a physical release is on the horizon. I’ll share more as it comes together 💽

I never go to Burning Man expecting to have fun or leave with any lasting impressions. Luckily, those things seem to be inevitable 👀
Overall, I’ve just been feeling really grateful for the health and well-being of my friends (old & new) and family. Connecting and sharing experiences with loved ones is simply one of life’s greatest joys ❤️🔥
On another note—It just bears repeating: the Black Rock Desert is so unrelentingly brutal, yet undeniably beautiful. The energy out there feels ancient, mysterious, and reverent. I’m very fortunate to be so near it 🌞

Making this album was an enlightening experience—I learned a lot about the craft and about myself. The process brought with it stress and moments of self-doubt, but also humility and a bit of artistic satisfaction. Deepening Heart, the title track from my upcoming album, is out today!
To me, this song captures the conceptual essence of the album nicely. I wrote most of it during a 3 day long snowstorm/thaw, so I think the juxtaposition of the severe yet serene weather patterns was subconsciously imprinted on the song. It’s a journey through shadows in search of the light.
