We are so excited to make it to all #fiftystates in #fiftydays and we met up with my cousin’s family that lives up in the wildest part of the country. We had an epic adventure driving #4wheelers out to fish in the river and then we headed to a very friendly and fun town where there was a live band and delicious food #talkeetna
We couldn’t resist talking to a family traveling (literally all over the Americas) in their van and hopefully we will see them again someday @hihosilver.van
The views are unreal but the clods got in the way of #denali when we visited. More to come of our adventure in the North!

We did it! In 43 days! Some people said it wouldn’t be possible or enjoyable. But it was both. What an accomplishment to say you’ve been to all 50 states- but also to pack it all in in under 50 days makes the memories compound against each other. It’s hard to explain, but I really enjoyed the process even more than the result. Sometimes we’d like to slow down a bit more and enjoy an area, but others it felt best to rush through. At least now we won’t have to visit the latter just to get a state checked off and we can spend more time at the places we love. What a great country!
After Washington we headed home to Oregon again for the first time in… 47 states. I ran up and took the obligatory #multnomahfalls pic and got back in the van in less than 5 minutes. Because I was so excited to get back home… but also… gotta get those pics! It felt weird returning and sleeping in our big bed in our big house. Everything was walking distance away… not leaning and stretching distance. Lol Anyway- the Alaska tickets are booked, we are set to go after one solid day or two of rest. Follow to see if we made our goal to get to all 50 states in under 50 days. It might not seem like it because these posts are so infrequent and delayed… but I had to edit down thousands of photos to just ten for a state, sometimes. If you are patiently following along, thank you for your support and well wishes the trip has been awe inspiring and life changing. Stay tuned in the next few days for ALASKA!

On the moon! #cratersofthemoon It was neat to see how the ancient eruption created sculptures, architectural caves, and a solid rock field that looks like it is from another world. And thankfully a guy was wearing an #indianajones hat that made the photos even better. State #47 of our #50statesin50days #challenge - #wyoming and we popped in and out of the state while going to ND and MT. Originally we were just going to go to #devilstower but the weather and time of day were not the best for photos and it was packed with cigarette smoking bikers from #sturgisrally (which we did not plan we would be driving by but soon noticed all the motorcycles everywhere) so we decided to revisit #yellowstonenationalpark
It never disappoints! Two years ago we went in our truck camper and this time around, even though we pretty much just drove through, we saw some beautiful scenes and wildlife. We parked just outside the park on a truck pull-out for the night. We’re almost there! Three more states to go!
