It’s hard to reckon with how long it’s been since this movie was conceived. My love and gratitude unto everyone who was involved—now spanning myriad miles and transfigured over four absurd years—has not diminished. It has remained a supremely special thing, which I hope has been crystallized in this weird, filmic fragment of a different time.
Making this movie was the most fulfilling creative experience of my life. Shot in 2022, and sporadically edited over those following four years, this film has clung to me like the proverbial monkey on my back—a hulking, tusk-bearing, ten-ton monkey. Now, it has graciously dismounted for your viewing. Crack open a banana and enjoy.
