In June I had a photosession with the one and only @sophiamolek in my studio. Super happy about the pictures and more than excited to share them with you over the next couple of months. In the last year I’ve come a long way and I wanted to celebrate that. I didn’t use to identity as an artist or writer for the longest time even though I’ve been both for approximately 30 years now. So here’s to owning up to who you are! Big thanks to @tsurtewlrakni for the moral support without whom I would have gone insane a million times over past 12 years.

Make your own sketchbook ✨✨ ich weiß dass ihr alle issues ohne Ende habt in eure teuren Skizzenbücher zu zeichnen. Reißt euch mal zusammen und bindet eure eigenen Skizzenbücher. Die sind dann von vornherein schief und krumm, genau wie die Zeichnungen! Den Workshop zum Thema gibt’s am 16. November. Ansonsten müsst ihr selbst wissen, kann nicht alles erklären ne.

Rage Against the Machine (Learning), lol. I'm probably in the minority as an AI hater, but let it be known that I hate generated images with a burning passion. It's not even because of my work as an illustrator... it's because it's an insult to the viewer.
The problem with AI is not in its technicalities. It's that we're already living in a crisis of meaning and AI generated art is the epitome of a lack of meaning. I'm under no illusion that it will take over pretty much every aspect of life... But I won't take part in it.

We are backkkk with sketchbook posts for 2026!! January was a very intense month for me (again!!) New relationships, coworkers, art projects and my friends kept me busy. Will I finally find time for tattoo and /or embroidery designs in March?? - moved into a new apartment in Schleußig 💐

- after coming back, I cohosted two home cafes in Leipzig ☕️🍰

- went to Gran Canaria for a sexy winter vacation 🌴🇪🇸🌞
- spent the holidays with my sister👯♀️🎄

First few days in Japan.
Whatever the hell am I doing here? Some kind of self-led art residency. Being an insufferable digital nomad. Talking walks. Being present on public transport, for once. Das Malträtieren unvollkommener Automaten.
This all reminds me – not culturally, of course - of my very first time when I was really abroad, which was almost ten years ago in Istanbul. "I'm back where I started, this time hotter, weirder, and all on purpose."
Here is my not to do list. I really hope I get it all not done.
