Belgium competing at L'International des Feux Loto-Québec at @larondesixflags was 🔥🔥🔥 also literally. They had actual fire. Pic 8.
Standing ovation! I've never heard an audience cheer and clap that loud. So deserved. Probably one of the best fireworks I've ever seen. From the music to the fireworks. I saw the shimmy fireworks match perfectly to Tina Turner. Gobsmacked. At the end of it, my jaw had to be picked up off the ground.
Team @hcpyrotechnics needs to adopt me! Will travel! :D
Thank you @redlikeolives for finding me the Belgium insta account! :D

On a side note: my hands! Manual bulb triggering. Ouchies after 30 mins. My carpal tunnel wrists need a week vacation. I see my pics and they're off by a second here and there. :( the symmetry of fireworks can really make me twitch when it's off. :/

PRECIOUS. What do we truly value? A broken ceramic cup rests on fake luxury scarves—two symbols of worth, one discarded, the other pretending.
This series explores the fragile relationship between materialism, identity, and perception. Products bought in Korean markets become artifacts of shifting value: a ceramic cup, once treasured, is now broken; a counterfeit scarf, mass-produced, still carries the illusion of wealth. The cup, with its ties to Korean history and craftsmanship, symbolizes wealth, memory, and the passage of time. In contrast, the scarf represents fleeting trends and manufactured status.
“You are what you wear” suggests that appearances define us—but do they? In a world where status is constructed and worth is measured in perception, we question what it means to be precious. Is it the object itself, its history, or the meaning we impose upon it? If one man’s garbage is another’s treasure, then perhaps worth is not fixed but fluid—fragile, like the things we hold onto.

I’m really happy with this series. While exploring South Korea and absorbing local life, I found these items in the markets. These scarves have been mulling in my mind since my travels and have finally come to fruition.
South Korea has been a developing country up to the late 80s where they actively made counterfeit luxury goods. Today they are one of the 12 strongest economies in the world and influencing world wide. These items are now mostly made in China but can be found in markets all over Korea. Despite this, many Koreans prefer to wear legitimate brands to flaunt wealth. Or at least, give the appearance of wealth.

Athabasca Glacier. My new art series - work in progress. Putting this here for proof of creation. Just in case I need proof of whatever in the future. I took these last weekend.
The series will be called MELT. Concept is nature vs man vs nature.
I was super happy when I saw this. Major A HA moment.
Thanks to Jack for bringing me out to visit Jasper and his patience. And especially for not asking, “what are you doing?” For not treating me like some weirdo as I silently squee’d to myself when I realized what I got.
Will work on this series when I get home….
This is twice Ive done the northern lights outside of Calgary. It’s interesting how painterly it is.
It was a 160 degree view and it went pretty high. I want to say half dome.
I managed to capture the northern lights In a field somewhere the horizon is low, about 2 hours east north of Calgary.
That was quite an adventure. The drive is long and so few cars wth.no stops. Sunset still happening in the west. Only started getting really dark after 10:30.
I saw the faint aurora so I drove quickly and stopped where I could. I could hear coyotes howling in the distance.
If you look carefully pretty sure I got pink and even a blue aurora. Lots of purples.
Parked around 11:30pm. Set up cameras for timelapses. So cold. -3•C. Fell asleep and woke up to a lot of clouds and freezing humidity. Now that I processed the photos, I see there was quite a lot of activity and constant for a long time,
How will we live in the Matrix or be saved from being a Person of Interest if there are no telephones in the booths?! And why are there still wires going into the booths!! #itsatrap

@sanrioashtray Kyle Anderson-Nguyen exhibits Simulations at @stridegallery #calgary
He makes me feel paleoanthropic. He did a deep dive into the 2000s to create these works. O_o my brain is trying to process nostalgia as art.

And we put the Chinese text through goog translate. Last pics. :D
Ron Moppat, Kim Spink and @han_sungpil are showing at @trepanierbaer in #calgary
The Art is amazing. Definitely should visit. 3 artists are completely unrelated visually which is what makes it interesting.
I ended up chatting with the nice lady in pic 2. Her and her handlebar moustache friends were visually fascinating to me. So I asked if I could take their picture. She was elated. I love people with character. His pearls are amazing. Those three are neighbours. Lovely humans.
And the crew at @trepanierbaer are so lovable. Yves, Judy and Carolina are beyond lovely. I want them to adopt me! 💛 :D
And thanks @dshlizzle for coming by to visit me! ❤️ so glad you knew Judy. I knew you two meant to meet!
Beautiful and tragic.
Does your whole life fit in a shopping cart?
This is puzzling. Everything seems so clean for a life in a shopping cart.
Below/beside is a fairly large group of homeless perhaps drug addicts too.
I find this picture kinda beautiful. Very sad. I don’t know what to do with it but I kinda want to remember it so I’m putting it here.
Also grateful for my life. Things like this put life in perspective. My feed is all about AI and the future. Then life shows me this. Telling me to be grateful. Everyone is 2 steps away from being homeless. I think in the near future, there will be more and more. :/
Meh. Stream of consciousness. Probably should keep my inside voice inside.
