This videoclip was created for my friend @antoinecedriccc . He was one of the first people who saw my potential and guided me into filmmaking.
& I wanted to tell a love story that felt true to him. Something rooted in his Surinamese background. We kept coming back to one idea: “Liefde gaat door de maag.” Love is expressed through food, through sharing.
This project took time. Antoine and I went back and forth for months 😂 , but that’s where I learned something important: commitment over perfection. Not rushing the process, but staying true to the concept.
During this, I also mentored my first intern, who stepped in as a producer. Showing him what’s possible when you really commit to something meant a lot to me.
I’m proud of what we created. But more proud of the team. ✨✨✨✨
