Hiiii here’s a little roundup from the last few months, swipe to the end for a *boop* 🌸
Starting back in January, I was part of a beautiful cohort of folks (led by @lordcowboy 🌟) in a 5-week self directed experiment in exploring our relationships with social media (and subsequently, our phones). Choose your own adventure. I deleted the apps (first time off all social media since I got on at 13?), and decided “why not” take a break from any alcohol + THC at the same time, in an effort to fully embrace clarity + presence.✨ The 5 weeks went by, then easily rolled on into 2+ months, and the sparkly appeal of what I had “given up” quickly faded. Lots of reading, journaling, vivid dreams, paper crafting, time with loved ones, etc, filled my time instead. “Nourishing” is the word that keeps coming to mind.
Having lots of thoughts about the attention economy, alchemy, capitalism, numbing, escapism, perception, nervous system regulation, and Big Tech, but I will save that for future writings and not an IG caption 🙂

the world is pretty fucking bleak right now, i won’t beat around the bush about that. A whole crew of talented local musicians + artists putting on a show, full of love songs, made with a whole lotta love. Back for its fourth iteration. turned 30 ! with the best day i could’ve asked for
reveled in the joy of friendships i once prayed for
two weddings of people so so dear to me 💒
and maaany more quiet little moments not pictured here
