POV: you chose one city in southern Spainâand suddenly an entire region opened up to you.
Our team visited in March and made Sevilla our base, and it completely changed the way we traveled. Instead of rushing from place to place, we slowed down, stayed longer, and took day trips by train. One day we're by the beach in CĂĄdiz, the next, wandering through stunning architecture in MĂĄlaga.
No constant packing, no stressâjust smooth train rides and incredible views along the way.
Those sunset views from the train reminded us that in Europe, the journey isnât separate from the tripâitâs part of it.
If you could start in one Andalusian city, where would it be? đŞđ¸
If youâre thinking about a Eurail trip before summer crowds take over, this is your sign to book the scenic route!
Late spring is the sweet spot for train travel: longer days, lush green landscapes, and that calm-before-the-peak-season feeling. From dramatic mountains to riverside vineyards and coastal views, these routes turn the journey into the highlightânot just the destination.
âOne of the highlights of our teamâs Eurail trip was definitely the last train we took from Cadiz to Seville. We took a daytrip to the southern Spanish beach town which came to a bittersweet end: this last train bid us a heartfelt farewell, with one of the best sunset train rides weâve ever experienced. As the sun melted into the night sky, I looked over to my colleagues as we all had a look of relief from having done this trip together, and ending it on such a positive note. Getting to know them in these unscripted, sun-drenched moments has been the most rewarding souvenir of all.â

"My dad survived cancer a few years ago, and this was our first real family vacation together, just him, me, my sister, and my brother. He had always dreamed of seeing the Alps, so I planned an epic journey on the Bernina Express. We ooh-ed and aah-ed at the spectacular mountains for ten hours. The trip was filled with laughs and delicious food. Schnitz and giggles, we called it. A trip we will never forget."

What happens when you spontaneously hop on a train to see your favorite band? The trip turns into part of the showâfull of unexpected moments, a little chaos, and stories youâll be telling long after the music stops.
"The concert came with its own lightning show, which felt appropriately dramatic. On the way home, our train was delayed until 3:45 a.m. and we stood most of the journey back. It was uncomfortable, chaotic, slightly unhinged, and absolutely perfect... I would definitely recommend buying last-minute tickets to your favourite band, catching an overnight train to a country youâve never been to."
