But being unsure, and too scared to tap them on the shoulder...we decided to turn around, hoof it about a block PAST them then turn BACK around and do a slow walk-by, YUP it was the Maestro himself, Valentino, getting into his white escalade, with his little pugs, all tanned and cream suited...funny enough I have to say, he matched his leather car interior very well. Throwback Thursday(late edition). Though I'm embarking on a new chapter of my life - Here's to my first BIG job - Macy's Passport '06 - Picture it - SF 2006 - Macys was prepping for it's annual fashion show - Passport AIDS fundraiser - unfortunately, they could not get their hands on a D&G jacket that was $$$$$$$$$...My big mouth casually mentioned I could do goldwork style embroidery....and BAM 1st real commission. After borrowing friends' machines, I sketched, designed and stitched ALL the elements in 3 passes(padding, underlayer shadow colors, and gold thread overlay) for 2 days non-stop.
