Day #2 of posting daily content to see if I get deleted for being a SWer on social media.
This weekend bring me the enormous pleasure and joy of performing alongside this awesome person
@sxbrinajade - award winning performer and pole dancing extraordinaire, international kinky wrestler, reality TV contestant on
@slagwars - or as I simply know her as my work wife… Sabrina Jade is a Brighton LEGEND and I’m honestly so incredibly blessed and grateful to be working with her.
Last night was the opening night of our 19 date run at
@brightonfringe with “Ask A Stripper” and “Strippers Advice Bureau”. One of the first questions we were asked (which I loved) was “how did the both of you first meet?” The answer was here… in Brighton!!! Sabrina and I were both invited by the brilliantly talented Jo Nastari (producer and performer of hit Fringe show “F***You Pay Me”) to perform at the “Sex Witch Cabaret” at
@theworldtransformed festival in Brighton in 2019. Sabrina gave a pole show that left everyone speechless, and I read an excerpt from my book which I was working on at the time.
Since then Sabrina has become one of the very best people I’m fortunate enough to have in my life. Time and again she has shown up as a friend, colleague, healer, confidante, teacher, cheerleader. Sharing the stage with someone I trust completely to have each others backs is truly magical, and not something I take for granted.
As you can see from these pictures, Sabrina is one of the strongest people I know - and they only show a fraction of the powerhouse that lies within. My 20th anniversary of becoming a stripper is a celebration of living life outside cultural norms, and an acknowledgment of the superheroes I’ve been lucky enough to meet and befriend. In the cast of deities I get to call my friends, Sabrina is on the front lines, fighting anyone who dares to try it.
