Do you have a problem? Struggling to know where to turn? Bring your dilemmas to this @brightonfringe comedy show, where real life strippers hold space, listen carefully and offer free, non-judgemental life advice to all... Myself and @sxbrinajade on a new mission to bring empathy, compassion and understanding out of the strip club and onto the stage. Since we’ve already been giving free therapy to men in strip clubs for years, so what better way to share our wealth of knowledge and experience by helping others overcome their guilt, shame and neuroses. We understand completely the importance of discretion, if you’re looking for help and need a safe space... come share your load with a pair of sex workers. Laughter, wisdom and sage advice guaranteed. 😂 #comedy #comedygold #brightonfringe #brighton #funnywomen

Day #3 of posting content to see how long it takes before I get delete for being a SWer on social media. Joining me tonight for another live performance of “Ask A Stripper” at @brightonfringe is Poppy Pray, also known as @whxretographer , and fellow member of @eastlondonstripperscollective . If you don’t already follow their account, you should. Poppy’s prolific photography practice is inspirational, documenting a world that few are trusted to access with a camera. Poppy has taken thousands of photographs focusing on the reclamation of the queer/femme gaze, and is rapidly becoming known for their work bringing light to sex workers and their global community and creating images that highlight our resilience, aspiring to achieve sex worker liberation through autonomous art. Stepping onto the stage and into the limelight, bringing unbridled feminist rage dripping in diamonds, blood, and bringing even the most corrupt Priest their knees, Poppy Pray will genuflect for no man. This year marks 20 years of being a SWer, since I took my first high-heeled steps into the stage of a Glasgow strip joint in July 2006. I’m celebrating a life lived outside cultural norms, and all the incredible people I’ve been lucky enough to work with. Poppy is one of them, a brilliant mind and a powerful presence. Come and join us tonight at @carolineofbrunswick at 9.30pm #brightonfringe #brighton #comedy #funnywomen #photographer #photography #sexworkiswork

Day #2 of posting daily content to see if I get deleted for being a SWer on social media. This weekend bring me the enormous pleasure and joy of performing alongside this awesome person @sxbrinajade - award winning performer and pole dancing extraordinaire, international kinky wrestler, reality TV contestant on @slagwars - or as I simply know her as my work wife… Sabrina Jade is a Brighton LEGEND and I’m honestly so incredibly blessed and grateful to be working with her. Last night was the opening night of our 19 date run at @brightonfringe with “Ask A Stripper” and “Strippers Advice Bureau”. One of the first questions we were asked (which I loved) was “how did the both of you first meet?” The answer was here… in Brighton!!! Sabrina and I were both invited by the brilliantly talented Jo Nastari (producer and performer of hit Fringe show “F***You Pay Me”) to perform at the “Sex Witch Cabaret” at @theworldtransformed festival in Brighton in 2019. Sabrina gave a pole show that left everyone speechless, and I read an excerpt from my book which I was working on at the time. Since then Sabrina has become one of the very best people I’m fortunate enough to have in my life. Time and again she has shown up as a friend, colleague, healer, confidante, teacher, cheerleader. Sharing the stage with someone I trust completely to have each others backs is truly magical, and not something I take for granted. As you can see from these pictures, Sabrina is one of the strongest people I know - and they only show a fraction of the powerhouse that lies within. My 20th anniversary of becoming a stripper is a celebration of living life outside cultural norms, and an acknowledgment of the superheroes I’ve been lucky enough to meet and befriend. In the cast of deities I get to call my friends, Sabrina is on the front lines, fighting anyone who dares to try it. #brighton #brightonrock #brightonfringe #poledance #strongwomen #funnywomen #comedy

Day #1 of posting daily content to see how long it takes to get deleted as an SWer on Instagram 😝 This July is a big milestone for me. In July 2006 I took my first high-heeled steps onto the stage of a Glasgow strip joint. I was wearing platformed Pleasers that made me about 6’9” in height. I earned £130 on my first night - more than I could earn in a week on minimum wage - which was a revelation back then. 20 years later I’m still doing S work. My livelihood has become intertwined with my identity in ways I had no way of predicting when I was 22. I feel the pride rise within me, to have made a career from something so reviled and denigrated by wider society. I’ve seen changes, and I’ve seen what’s remained the same. So, this summer, I’m celebrating. 20 years a sex worker, all it has cost me and all it has afforded me. The stories, memories and the INCREDIBLE people I have been lucky enough to work alongside. If you would like to join me in celebrating this life of living outside cultural norms - I’m doing shows all summer at @brightonfringe @edfringe and @durhamfringefest . You can find tickets by googling “Ask A Stripper” and “Strippers Advice Bureau”. I may update my bio with ticket links, I may not… 😉 #worker #anniversary #celebration #20years #community #brightonfringe #edinburghfringe #durhamfringe #comedy #funnywomen

It’s become pointless to use social media now that the Online Safety Act 2023 has kicked in, SWers are being banished from the public internet and pushed back into obscurity, to reside in the far corners of society where we belong… so if any of you are lucky enough to find us at @edfringe then you will indeed be meeting us on the FRINGE of society! Link in bio for all its worth, but if you want to find out what we’re up to in real life then feel free to drop a DM to ask us what real life situations you’ll be able to come and interact with us… laughter guaranteed 🤩 Picture of #edinburgh to prove we are not dangerous… #edinburghfringe #fringe #fringefestival

How can we challenge stigma and champion rights in the world of sex work? As part of our Sexpectations series, @ethicalstripper from the East London Stripper Collective joined author and campaigner @elizabeth_g_official to confront misconceptions and reveal the realities of sex work in the UK. From fighting stigma to advocating for workplace protections, this powerful conversation rethinks justice and empowerment for those in the industry. 🔗 Watch the full talk now for £2 on the Conway Hall Player via the link in our bio! #workersrights #londontalks #liveevents #equality #eastlondon #conversation #empowerment #holborn #londonevents #conwayhall

Oh @instagram … today is 17th December which is International Day To End Violence Against Sex Workers… and an image of a drawing which aims to build community resistance and resilience posted by a sex worker who wants to let their following know about a SW led event which literally is about ending the continuing violence, stigma, social isolation and all the ways we are harmed because of the work we do… is #censored Just….like…. I can’t even anymore. There’s a reason I stopped posting on this platform so often. If anyone needed proof that social media is not a safe place for SWers to even exist there is no better example than this. We are pushed further and further into the margins, silenced, shut down, segregated, treated like a contagion. This is the violence we live under, on the actual day of the year we ask for solidarity and visibility - and the message we get from our neoliberal technocrat overlords is “Be Gone.” Well perhaps we shall, en masse, leave your digital hellscape once and for all… this might be the last straw for me - #changemymind The silver lining has been seeing so many posts today about #17december. Thank you to all the orgs and individuals who have posted in solidarity to acknowledge the date. I see you. And I’m grateful. 💋

💙 Tuesday 17th December is International Day To End Violence Against Sex Workers, and by happy coincidence our next life drawing class at @dragonflyedinburgh falls on that date 💙 ✨What better way to acknowledge it than by attending an event organised by SWers to make art with us. ✨ 💋 C U Next Tuesday is a new and growing event in #edinburgh - a #lifedrawing class with a difference. Members of the SWer community in Scotland are collaborating to untangle stigma and reclaim their own images and narratives. Come and see for yourselves what happens when striptease professionals and visual artists get together to build a shared space for mutual appreciation of each other’s talent and abilities. 💋 🎤 Class begins at 7pm @dragonflyedinburgh West Port. £10 per person, materials available for £2 (free materials for students with ID). Book online using ticket link or just turn up. 🎤 😎 C U Next Tuesday 😎 Artist credit: @r0sejam #cunexttuesday #art #cocktails

If the Teletubbies became strippers and then all got sacked from the club because they joined the union, so turned to OnlyFans instead… but then had a falling out because Tinky-Winky blamed the union for being sacked (instead of the people who actually sacked them and had been exploiting them all along) so couldn’t get on board with workers’ rights and got kicked out of the Teletubbies group… but still had rent to pay… Well done to @jvan_rviz for painting this imaginary scenario (Disclaimer: this may not have been the artist’s originally intended meaning of the work… but art is subjective and that’s what happens when you share it with the public who will likely project their own meaning on it… especially if you make work that exemplifies sex worker aesthetics, expect sex workers to notice and reclaim their own narratives… art about sex work seen through the SWer gaze may look very different to how civvies view the work… just saying…) For all you millennials who grew up watching these weird creatures on your TVs… sorry for ruining your childhood but well done for remembering what a TV is… Inspiration for our next party anyone? #art #artgallery #painting #makeart #artist #artistic #colour
