this is a reel of 3d work i did last year 🧙 featuring video works i created for layton lachman’s scum circle at Hosek Contemporary and infinity kiss at Bärenzwinger Berlin. @lachmoninof @hosekcontemporary @baerenzwinger.berlin set to the swampy sounds of Samuel Hertz, which were produced for those same works. @pallaspalace featuring lots of experimentation into procedural materials, geometry nodes, physics simulations, and chaotic bisexual lighting. also included are several outtakes from research supporting Gina Melosi Jewellery’s SS24 line which will be released soon. @ginamelosi #blender #blender3d #b3d #geometrynodes

“I, Too, Drink Blood!” - installation view A family drama about aquaculture, cruise ship waste management, cod wars, gene splicing, undersea fiber-optic cables, transgenic patent law, blood mares, vampirism, and other forms of toxic entanglement in coastal disturbance regimes. A polyphonic creature chorus emanates from the AquAdvantage™ salmon, the world’s first genetically modified meat product. This work was begun during my time with @lungaschool in the fall of 2024.

Introducing a new artist in residence: ethan allison folk. Period: Jan-Mar 2026 ethan allison folk (1986, USA) is a Berlin-based artist, writer, and filmmaker whose work addresses inter-species intimacy, marine ecology, and maritime economy through a lens of speculative fantasy. At Skaftfell, ethan is developing a ghost story / soap opera / family drama about aquaculture (fish farming). A polyphonic creature chorus emanates from the AquAdvantage™ salmon, the world's first genetically modified meat product. Vampiric sea lice, semi-domesticated cleaner fish, and a cascading chain of symbiotic and parasitic relations are explored as one of many dysfunctional “families” which survive and thrive, lend and spend, squirming through toxic togetherness in the disturbance zones of extractive industry. ethan draws on a background in engineering and experience working on boats - commercial fishing vessels in Alaska and the civil search and rescue fleet in the Central Mediterranean - as well as an engagement with the works of Alexis Shotwell, Sunaura Taylor, and Donna Haraway, as they imagine new pathways of inter-species kinship which emerge from ecological exploitation, animal commodification, and polluted entanglement, affirming that “there is no pre-toxic, pre-entangled body to recover, only movement forwards toward mutual custodianship” (Shotwell). / Við kynnum nýjan gestalistamann Skaftfells: ethan allison folk Tímabil: Jan - Mar 2026 ethan allison folk (f. 1986, í Bandaríkjunum) er listamaður, rithöfundur og kvikmyndagerðarmaður búsettur í Berlín.
