across the form, objects once carried
now carrying back
The pants refuse polish:
raw Japanese denim
reclaimed from remnants
waxed and hand-painted with acrylic
to mimic the surface of leather
Off-cuts and embroidered lace
interrupt utility
a genderless gesture,
a rebel movement in motion
