We had friends over for dinner last night. The centerpiece was in honor of our small black greyhound Jiminy, whose destructive skills are unmatched. The display features a Doc Martens boot he destroyed (one of three pairs he obliterated in a week) and an eggplant he mauled on the way home from the grocery store, necessitating another trip, sans dog, so I could make eggplant Parmesean. We adopted him from a group called Greyhound Options and I have been reminding him that he is, in fact, an optional greyhound.
